The responsibilities of Assistant Manager-Mechanical are:

. To ensure equipment availability for the smooth functioning of the Plant.

. Maintenance planning for Preventive, reductive & schedule maintenance.

· Ensuring the compliance of checks as per the checklist on regular basis for all the equipment.

· Equipment Spares planning & follow up with Procurement for timely availability.

· Analyzing the root cause of equipment breakdown & elimination of root causes.

· Effective utilization of manpower by coordinating with other SH.

· Coordination with inter dept. to carry out day to day requirements.

· To attend the task force meeting & Safety meetings.

. Coordination with condition monitoring dept. & arranging for checking the equipment

health on day to basis.

. To update the equipment maintenance history on regular basis.

. Evaluation of Life cycle of Equipment spares.

. Identification & rectification of Safety Compliance to achieve Zero accident

. To Conduct Safety meeting / PEP talks at shop floors.

. To train subordinates to upgrade their skills.

. Monitoring the spare parts consumption regularly & taking corrective action as required.

. Testing of tools and tackles in co-ordination with the safety officer & calibration of equipment . adherence to safety and following Company’s Policies and procedures
